WAUPACA COUNTY PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE

MINUTES – August 13, 2014

Chr. Johnson called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

Roll call.   Chr. Johnson, Suprs. Boyer, Zaug, Rohan and Supr. Spierings, all present.  Others present:  Mary Robbins and Leighton Trice.

Review and Approve agenda.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Spierings seconded the motion to approve the amended agenda.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

Public Comment.  None.

Future Meeting Dates:  2^nd Friday of the month at 9 a.m. and Room LL43 if available.

Maintenance Updates – Leighton Trice, Maintenance Director.  

2015 Budget:  Leighton presented his 2015 budget with a preliminary figure of .02% decrease for next year.  Part of this is due to an employee that is not on family insurance.

Parking Lot – RFP’s: received two estimates:  1. Treme Ashphal Rescue, Waupaca of $18,290.00 and 2. Fahrner, Plover, WI for $17,195.00.  Leighton will have to patch holes to repair parking lot and not do the entire parking lot at this time.  Motion:  Supr. Spierings moved and Supr. Rohan seconded the motion to patch the parking lots at the Courthouse and LEC.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

Frontline Security Buttons Update:  Leighton explained that they will have to put this in C.I.P. Funding for a total of $23,000.00

Supr. Joyce Boyer: Supr. Boyer reported that she attended the Safety Committee held at the Courthouse.  She gave an update on all the activities the Safety Floor Directories spoke about and let the committee know that they are planning on setting up safety drills for the Courthouse.

 Motion:  Supr. Zaug moved and Supr. Boyer seconded the motion to go into Closed Session according to Wis. State Stats. 19.85(1)(c) for an employee performance evaluation.  Roll call vote:  Johnson—yes; Boyer—yes; Rohan—yes; Spierings—yes and Zaug—yes.  Unanimous decision.  Committee will adjourn in closed session.
