WAUPACA COUNTY PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE

MINUTES – MARCH 13, 2014

 

Vice Chr. Johnson called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

 

Roll call.   Chr. Mares--excused, Suprs. Boyer, Johnson, Morgan--excused, and Zaug present.  Others present:  Leighton Trice, Jeff Siewert, and Steve Hart.

 

Review and Approve agenda.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Review and Approve minutes.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Zaug. Johnson seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the January meeting.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No Public Comment.

  

Blinds for Corporation Counsel Office – Jeff Siewert

 

Because of glare on computer screens, Jeff Siewert requested 2 window blinds in the Child Support Agency.  The cost would be $787, which would come out of the Public Property budget.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to approve the installation of 2 window blinds in the Child Support Agency office.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Town of Wyoming Property

 

Waupaca County owns a 1.39 acre parcel of land in the Town of Wyoming purchased in 1932 that is no longer used.  Park Supervisor John Francis looked at the land and thought the Highway Department used it for gravel or to park equipment.  The adjoining landowner is interested in purchasing the parcel for access to his property and has offered $3,300 for the parcel.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to sell the parcel of land to the adjoining landowner for $3,300.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Maintenance Updates – Leighton Trice.   

 

Leighton is waiting for a quote on the panic button upgrade.  The quote would not include any extra buttons. 

 

The hole for the door to the county board room has been cut but electrical wires need to be moved.

 

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:55 a.m.  Meeting is adjourned.
