Clerk of Courts – Terrie Tews – Courtroom Updates.  Terrie explained to the committee that she is pursuing upgrading the court systems video conferencing, it would include a listening device for the hearing impaired and for court reporters to be able to isolate the conversation better for transcripts.  The plan is to make Branch I the virtualization courtroom at an estimated cost of $170,000.00.  It is in the CIP 2015 Plan but would like to review this item to possibly take it out of this year’s budget and fund in 2014.  Maintenance Supervisor Leighton Trice has been very good to work with, but she needs someone with technical experience, when something goes wrong, she needs technical support immediately.  She is dealing with someone who has the expertise in dealing with this type of audio conferencing and technology.  She hopes to have this up and running next year, beginning in June.

DHHS Hall Mural.  Kasey Kaepernick of DHHS Healthy Beginnings reported that the Child & Family Services has received 2-$1,500 grants to do a mural on the Child & Family Services hallway.  Kasey reported that the mural would be used to help the children they are interviewing feel more at ease as they go to the interview room.  Motion:  Supr. Morgan moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to approve the hall murals.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

In-Rem Property.  The Treasurer’s Office has received a bid of $6,001 from Gary Prost and Gloria Kjer for Lot 31 in Foxfire Country Estates in the City of Waupaca.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Boyer seconded the motion to have the County Treasurer accept the bid of $6,001.00.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

Lakeview Manor/Gateway House Potholes.  Leighton will check out the potholes in the drive to Gateway House and contact the Highway Department.
