Vending Machines.  County Clerk Mary Robbins reported that the vending machines have been giving the Clerk’s office a lot of trouble, with employees reporting the malfunctions of at least one machine a week, we contact the vendor, but it doesn’t seem to get fixed.  Our return money has been depleted.  We would like the county to save money and remove all vending machines from the courthouse and install a better, bigger refrigerator in the break room so that employees may bring their own snacks and beverages.  Leighton indicated that his employees and several of the public do use them quite often; he would like to see them stay, maybe remove the sandwich/snack machine.  Leighton and Mary will research the vending machine possibilities and maybe send out a RFP in the near future.

In-Rem Property.  County Treasurer Clyde Tellock reported that the Treasurer’s Office has received bids for 2 parcels—Parcel No. 34-26-70-48 for Lot 30  in Foxfire Country Estates from Amandeep Singh in the amount of $6,500 and a bid from Connie & Dave Baldwin in the amount of $3,000.00 for Lot #44 in Foxfire Country Estates in the City of Waupaca.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to have the County Treasurer accept the bid for Lot 30 in the amount of $6,500 and deny the bid for $3,000 from the Baldwin’s.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

Maintenance Updates – Leighton Trice.

a.    New roof for courthouse.  Roland Young from M & H Molder and Matt Moeller from Duro-Last appeared before the committee to report on the specifications and materials for re-doing the courthouse roof.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Boyer seconded the motion to approve using the DURO-LAST Roof Product for the bid/rfp specifications.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

b.    Verizon Tower.  City of Waupaca is recommending that the tower be built next to the existing tower and remove the old tower.  Verizon will agree to do that.

c.    Sealcoating the Parking Lot.  Last winter eat up Leighton’s budget for seal coating, the committee agreed to hold off this year for the seal coating, an estimated cost of $11,000.  Supr. Zaug would like to at least see the parking lot re-striped.

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Boyer seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 a.m.  Meeting is adjourned.
