WAUPACA COUNTY PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE

MINUTES – June 13, 2013

 

Chr. Mares called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

 

Roll call.   Chr. Mares, Suprs. Boyer, Johnson, Morgan, and Zaug present. Others present:  Steve Hart, Christel Schuelke, and Leighton Trice.

 

Review and Approve agenda.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Review and Approve minutes.  Motion:  Supr. Boyer moved and Supr. Johnson seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, May 9th.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Vending Machines.  It was reported that one of vending machines in the breakroom has been breaking down a lot, along with other problems with some of the other machines in the building.  The Committee directed Clerk Robbins to contact the vending company to have the problems fixed or vending services will be put out for bids. 

 

In-Rem Property.  Christel Schuelke, Deputy County Treasurer, reported that the Treasurer’s Office has received bids for 2 parcels--$6,000 for Lot 3 in Foxfire and $600 for a Parcel No. 33 13 74 39 in New London.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to have the County Treasurer accept the bids on both parcels.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Maintenance Updates – Leighton Trice.

 

a.    Verizon Tower.  Leighton does have a site plan but the City wants the tower moved 100 feet from the property line.  Leighton will have the new plans for the next meeting.

b.    Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) at Jail.  Installation is complete.

c.    Leighton has started working on bids for the new courthouse roof.

 

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Boyer seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 a.m.  Meeting is adjourned.
