WAUPACA COUNTY PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE

MINUTES – January 10, 2013

 

Vice Chr. Dave Johnson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

 

Roll call.   Suprs. Johnson, Morgan and Zaug present with Supr. Mares excused.  Others present:  Leighton Trice, Steve Hart, and Clyde Tellock.

 

Review and Approve agenda.  Motion:  Supr. Zaug moved and Supr. Morgan seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Review and Approve minutes.  Motion:  Supr. Zaug moved and Supr. Morgan seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, December 13.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Bid Opening – Old Avaya Phone System.  No bids were received.  Leighton Trice will list the old phone system for sale on the state surplus website and will contact the Avaya user’s group to see if there is any interest in purchasing the system.

 

In-Rem Property:  Clyde Tellock explained the in-rem process.  There is someone interested in purchasing the 22 lots in Foxfire.  The total cost of the lots would be $134,000, which covers all the county’s expenses.  Clyde may have an offer to purchase by the February meeting.

 

Maintenance Updates – Leighton Trice.  Leighton reported that the Identicard system has been purchased and will be installed soon.

 

Leighton has received a request from a local church to hold their bible study class in one of the courtrooms after hours.  Leighton will deny the request.

 

Leighton reported on replacing the Courthouse roof.  The committee felt that it would be important to contact a roofing consultant before the job is sent out for bids.

 

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. Morgan moved and Supr. Zaug seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:30 a.m.  Meeting is adjourned.
