WAUPACA COUNTY PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE

MINUTES – February 9, 2012

 

Chair Lloyd Mares called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

 

Roll call.   Chr.  Mares, Suprs. Flink, Boyer-excused, Morgan, and Johnson, all present.  Others present:  Leighton Trice, Mary Robbins, Melissa Schwartz, and Greg Otto from Fox River Vending.

 

Review and Approve agenda.  Motion:  Supr. Flink moved and Supr.  Johnson seconded the motion to approve the revised agenda.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Review and Approve minutes.  Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Morgan seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Open Vending Machine RFP’s.  Two RFP’s were received

1.        Express Vending, N3390 Anderson Rd. STE B, Waupaca, WI  54981 – Tim Mansavage, met all the criteria

2.       Fox River Vending, 1125 Hickory Farm LN, Appleton, WI   54914 – Greg Otto, met all the criteria

 

Both RFP’s were reviewed thoroughly, both met the qualifications of the RFP, both arrived timely and both would be the same in price range.  Fox River does offer the sandwich machine, prices on coffee are less, and will offer soda in a can for a lesser price, along with the bottles.

After some discussion with EAP representative Melissa Schwartz and members of the committee, the following motion was made:

 

Motion:  Supr. Johnson moved and Supr. Flink seconded the motion to award the RFP for Vending Machine Service to Fox River Vending to begin May 1, 2012.  The clerk was instructed to send Express Vending a letter of this decision and asking if you could have his equipment removed prior to that date.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Maintenance Updates – Leighton Trice. 

VAV controllers are 2/3 done on the 3rd Floor.  Cellphone antenna for lower level next week will be installed and county board room, total bill was $12,000.

They will be building shelves for clerk of Courts in Room 0037 in the lower level for her storage 2 shelves for approximately $2,300.

Leighton forgot to get the prices for the baby changing stations in the first floor and lower level bathrooms.  Leighton did mention they do have them on 2nd floor. 

 

Next meeting will be April 12th.

 

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. Morgan moved and Supr. Johnson seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:55 a.m.  Meeting is adjourned.
