MEETING MINUTES

                                                                                                                                    Courthouse, Waupaca

           

Chair McClone called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Present:            Joe McClone, Dona Gabert, Lee Much, Donald Peterson, and Gene Sorensen

 

Also Present:    John Francis, Roger Holman, and Chris Klein ( Town of Dayton).

 

McClone gave the open meeting statement.

 

Motion by Much and Gabert to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by Peterson and Much to approve the August 27, 2014 minutes.  Motion carried.

 

There was no correspondence for Committee action.

 

McClone opened the meeting for public comment.  There was none.

 

The Committee, Holman, Francis, and Klein completed an onsite inspection of the following sites: Parfreyville Park, Spencer Lake, Stratton Lake, Upper Crystal River, Marl Lake, Dake Lake and Knight Lake.

 

McClone asked Francis to review the access sites in Dayton. Francis reviewed the options for the sites visited by the Committee.

 

Klein stated that he would like a decision on the Committee’s interest in the access sites soon and if the County is not interested in the Marl and Knight Lake sites, he will discuss it with the DNR. Holman noted the Committee has authorized the amendment to the Dake Lake agreement.

 

McClone stated the Dayton access sites would be placed on the November 4 agenda.

 

Holman noted there is no action needed on the 2015 budget.

 

There were no Management Team updates.

 

Francis reported on Fairgrounds storage, Keller swing sets, showed pictures of the new tractor,  the snowmobile bridge that was funded as well as new winter ATV miles.

 

The Committee set November 12 at 5:30 for the Public Hearing on the 5 year Outdoor Recreation Plan.

 

The next Committee meeting was set for November 4.

 

Motion by Peterson and Gabert to adjourn. Motion carried.
