MEETING MINUTES

June 2, 2014

                                                                                                                                    Courthouse, Waupaca

Chair McClone called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m.

Present:           Dona Gabert, Joe McClone, Lee Much, Gene Sorensen and Dale Trinrud

Also Present:   Roger Holman, Julie Savolt, Denise Saurez and Jeff Siewert

McClone gave the open meeting statement.

Motion by Much, seconded by Sorensen to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

Motion by Sorensen, seconded by Much to approve the May 5, 2014 minutes.  Motion carried.

Holman handed out a letter from Barry Johanson to the Town of Farmington regarding the Grandview Road boat launch.  Johnson’s letter raised concerns regarding the proposed boat launch and the process followed in making the decision.

McClone opened the meeting for public comment.  Julie Savolt and Denise Saurez questioned the decision to put a boat launch on Grandview Road.  Savolt stated the neighbors are concerned about parking, who to call if there is a problem, how it would be developed and the lack of notification to the neighbors.  Savolt and Saurez presented a petition to the Committee stating the petitions are not in favor of the Kayak launch.

McClone thanked Savolt and Saurez and stated their information will be considered in future decisions.

Holman reported that the landings have been busy.  Taylor Lake has been restriped for angle parking and new sign’s installed, bids are going out for the tractor, Keller restroom is done, White Lake Dam unplugged with plant material removed, water pit is slated to go in the week of June 2^nd and Dan Gorell, Dante Grorich, Bria Derickson and Emily Gorges are this year’s summer crew.

Holman reported the Management Team is waiting for direction on the strategic plan issues identified by the County Board and discussing 2015 budget issues.

Motion by Gabert, seconded by Sorensen to go into Closed Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(I)(9).  Conferring with legal counsel about strategies regarding Contested Case Hearing.  

Roll call vote with all voting yes .

CLOSED SESSION

McClone called the closed session to order.

Motion by Much, seconded by Trinrud to go back into open session.  Motion carried with a roll call vote, with all voting yes.

OPEN SESSION

Chair McClone called the open session back to order.

The next meeting date was set for July 7, 2014 at 12:30 p.m.

Motion by Gabert, seconded by Trinrud to adjourn.  Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
