NATURAL RESOURCES FOUNDATION BOARD

Chair Phair called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.

 

Present:           Al Wichmann, Pat Phair, Clyde Tellock, Jim Hlaban, Larry, Dieck, Joe McClone, Ben Durfree, and Roger Holman

 

Motion by Hlaban, seconded by McClone to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by Dieck, seconded by Tellock to approve the October 3, 2012 minutes.  Motion carried.

 

Dieck introduced Al Wichmann as a potential new board member.  Wichmann provided background information, including being a retired Ag Teacher and leading trail work in the Clintonville area.  He is interested in serving on the board.

 

Motion by Dieck, seconded by Tellock to appoint Al Wichmann as a new board member filling out the term of Jim Simpson.  Motion carried.

 

Phair welcomed Wichmann to the Board.

 

Phair handed out an invitation to the Board members to attend the Fox Valley Community Foundations annual banquet.

 

Tellock handed out and reviewed the Treasurer’s report.  Tellock noted that the Waupaca Friends of Parks Program recently had $125,000 deposited in their account.  Holman and Phair explained the South Park renovation projects, which the funds have been donated for.

 

Motion by Durfree, seconded by McClone to approve the Treasurer’s report.  Motion carried.

 

There were no committee reports.

 

Homan updated the Board on the Sturgeon Trail, River Ridge Trail, Manawa Trails and Waupaca Friends of Parks Programs activities.

 

Hlaban updated the Board on the purple loosestrife beetle project.

 

Phair updated the Board on the Waupaca Community project. 

 

The next meeting was set for May 22, 2014 at 3:30 p.m.
