Reports:

Judicial – Judge Kirk stopped by to ask about reconsidering security for the building or at least a security office for third floor.  Also, discussion on keeping the maintenance up on this building and parking lot.  Committee would like to make Public Property Committee aware of these security concerns for next year’s budget process.

District Attorney John Snider.  DA Snider explained that their new employee has started full time, Maryann E. Lepianka (sp).    He would like to see the state consider making their part-time Assistant DA, full-time.  This is a State funded position, the committee could write a letter in support of this position.

Clerk of Circuit Courts – Terrie Tews-Liebe.  Not much different than last month, busy as usual.  She attended a training on the new restraining order protocol.

Sheriff Brad Hardel – Update on Violence in the workplace training.  Reached via Supr. Zaug’s phone.  Will try to schedule something in June, maybe for Department Heads only due to the time crunch.  Chr. Kussmann asked that he be present next month to discuss the Dance Hall Ordinance.

Resolution from Eau Claire County.  Motion:  Supr. Zaug moved and Supr. Gabert seconded the motion to forward this resolution leaving the reference to Senate Bill 619 off of the resolution and forward to the County Board.  Motion carried with Supr. Poehlman voting no.

New meeting date, time and place.  These meetings will be held on the First Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. on Third Floor in Room 3021 (next to the D.A.’s office) when available.  Dance Hall License Ordinance amendments and Security issues on next month’s agenda.  July 2, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
