Chr. Kussmann called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

 

Roll call:  Dennis Kussmann, Mary Kay Poehlman, Dave Neumann-excused, Dona Gabert and Terry Murphy.  A quorum was established.  Others present:   Planning & Zoning Administrator Ryan Brown, Clerk of Courts Terrie Tews-Liebe, Corporation Counsel Jeff Siewert, Dave Thiel and Steve Hart.

 

Agenda:  Motion:  Supr. Gabert and Supr. Poehlman seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  The motion was carried without a negative vote.

 

Minutes of previous meeting – November 12, 2013.  Motion:  Supr. Gabert moved and Supr. Poehlman seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.  The motion was carried without a negative vote.

 

Public Comment – No comments.

 

Corporation Counsel Jeff Siewert.  Jeff will email his monthly report this month.  Jeff also reported on the Little Hope Lake District.

 

Clerk of Courts Terrie Tews-Liebe.  Terrie reported on updating the video and audio systems in the courtrooms.  The audio system has been in place since 1991.  The estimated cost would be $179,000.  Video conferencing is being used more with the jail.

 

No Judicial or District Attorney Report.

 

Frontline Security – Panic Buttons.  There is a need to have panic buttons along the first floor frontline cubicles in addition to those in the department heads’ offices.  Chr. Kussmann appointed Supr. T. Murphy as this committee’s representative to the Public Property and Finance & Human Resources committees to present the request for additional panic buttons with Supr. Gabert as alternate.

 

Resolutions, Ordinances or Correspondence. 

 

AB 349.  Planning & Zoning Administrator Ryan Brown explained that this assembly bill is being redrafted in the Assembly and will be presented in the spring.  Motion:  Supr. Poehlman moved and Supr. Gabert seconded the motion to table support of AB 349 until the bill is presented again.  The motion was carried without a negative vote.

 

Resolution No. 32 - Support Receiving Grant monies for WCEDC.  Motion:  Supr. Poehlman moved and Supr. T. Murphy seconded the motion to approve and forward to the full County Board.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Resolution No. 33 – Amend Ordinance 45, Comprehensive Plan.  Motion:  Supr. Poehlman moved and Supr. Gabert seconded the motion to approve and forward to the full County Board.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Resolution from Taylor County regarding nonpartisan procedure for redistricting -  Motion:  Supr. Poehlman moved and Supr. T. Murphy seconded the motion to approve and forward to the full County Board.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. T. Murphy moved and Supr. Poehlman seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 2:05 p.m.  Chr. Kussmann declared the meeting adjourned.
