Chr. Kussmann called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and gave the open meeting statement.

 

Roll call:  Dennis Kussmann, Mary Kay Poehlman, Dave Neumann, Dona Gabert and Terry Murphy.  A quorum was established.  Others present:   Corporation Counsel Jeff Siewert, and County Clerk/Admin. Coordinator Mary Robbins.

 

Agenda:    Motion:  Supr. Gabert and Supr. Poehlman seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  The motion was carried without a negative vote.

 

Minutes of previous meeting – June 12, 2013.  Motion:  Supr. Neumann moved and Supr. Gabert seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. The motion was carried without a negative vote.

 

Public Comment – No comments

 

Corporation Counsel Jeff Siewert.  Monthly report was distributed to all committee members. 

 

No Judicial or District Attorney Report.

 

Security Issues.  Security has been going well.  Mary mentioned that the department heads have formed a committee called “Exceptional Services Committee” to see if we could talk about ways to improve the image of the county at the front door, maybe other security measures than the scanning procedure. 

 

Resolutions, Ordinances or Correspondence

 

Resolution No. 14 – Support amendment to state statute 706.05, Requiring recording of Mortgage Assignments in Register of Deeds.  Motion:  Supr. Gabert moved and Supr. Poehlman seconded the motion to approve and forward to the full County Board.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Review Ordinances:

Ch. 41 Register of Deeds.  Amend Ch. 41 to change the filing deadline in Sec. 41.01 and Sec. 41.02 from 3:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Motion:  Supr. Poehlman moved and Supr. T. Murphy seconded the motion to approve the amendment and forward to the full county board.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Ch. 26 Parking Lot Ordinance.    No changes at this time, in the future may want to drop the language “horseplay” from section 26.05 C.  Discussion on setting definitions for what the parking lot could be used for if this is possible.    Look at other counties to see if there is any defined language in their code of ordinances.

 

Adjourn.  Motion:  Supr. Murphy moved and Supr. Poehlman seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 2:20 p.m.  Chr. Kussmann declared the meeting adjourned.
