LAW ENFORCEMENT MEETING

 November 5, 2013   

 

            The Waupaca County Law Enforcement Committee was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Jonely. Members present: Supervisors Craig and Handrich.  Johnson and Aasen excused.  Others present: Sheriff Hardel, Lt. Russell and Sgt. Lewis

Chairman Jonely made the opening meeting statement that this meeting and all other meetings of this Committee are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place and agenda of this meeting.

No persons from Public for input.

            Motion by Supervisor Craig, seconded by Supervisor Handrich, to approve the minutes of the October 8, 2013 meeting of the Law Enforcement Committee. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Motion by Supervisor Handrich, seconded by Supervisor Craig to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without negative vote.

            Motion by Supervisor Craig, seconded by Supervisor Handrich, to approve and sign the bills as submitted. Motion carried without a negative vote.

Communications Center update reported by Sheriff Hardel, that a telecommunicator is in the FTO stage, another person had been offered a position and will start in the next 30-60 days, and they are creating a new eligibility list.

Corrections Division update reported by Lt. Russell, that they purchased a new washing machine for the Huber inmates  

Detective Division update reported by Sheriff Hardel, been busy with burglaries, drugs and investigations.

Patrol Division Update by Sgt. Lewis, presented monthly report.

Sheriff’s Office monthly report given by Sheriff Hardel for October 2013.

Sheriff’s Report by Sheriff Hardel reported the vacant corrections position has been filled by Annetta Jerabeck. Working with Tate to resolve the tower problems

There were no Dance Hall permits.

             

Motion by Supervisor Craig, seconded by Supervisor Handrich to adjourn at 10:00 a.m. Motion carried without a negative vote.
