LAW ENFORCEMENT MEETING

6 November 2012  

            The Waupaca County Law Enforcement Committee was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Jonely. Members present: Supervisors Johnson, Craig and Handrich. Others present: Sheriff Hardel, Captains Wilz and Olson. Supervisor Aasen excused.

Chairman Jonely made the opening meeting statement that this meeting and all other meetings of this Committee are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place and agenda of this meeting.

            Motion by Supervisor Craig, seconded by Supervisor Johnson, to approve the minutes of the October 9, 2012 meeting of the Law Enforcement Committee. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Motion by Supervisor Handrich seconded by Supervisor Jonely, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Motion by Supervisor Craig, seconded by Supervisor Handrich, to approve and sign the bills as submitted. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Chief Deputy’s monthly report presented by Sheriff Hardel. Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Handrich, to approve Chief Deputy Kraeger’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            CPT Wilz presented his monthly report. Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Jonely to approve CPT Wilz’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Sheriff’s Report: 

1)      There were 3 meetings in 2 weeks with Tate representatives. Another meeting on Thursday to recommend option to fix. Need for continuing maintenance for upkeep on this system.

 

Tower Update: Addressed in Sheriff’s Report.

 

Promotion Updates:  CPT Wilz transferred to Communications Captain. Patrol Captain position has been posted. Interviews for Correction Captain coming up on 11.14.12.

Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Handrich to adjourn. Motion carried without a negative vote. Adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
