LAW ENFORCEMENT MEETING

7 August 2012

            The Waupaca County Law Enforcement Committee was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Jonely. Members present: Supervisors Johnson, Aasen, Craig and Handrich. Others present: Sheriff Hardel, Chief Deputy Kraeger, Captains Wilz and Olson.

Chairman Jonely made the opening meeting statement that this meeting and all other meetings of this Committee are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place and agenda of this meeting.

            Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Handrich, to approve the minutes of the previous meetings of the Law Enforcement Committee. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Motion by Supervisor Aasen, seconded by Supervisor Craig, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Aasen, to approve the bills as submitted. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Chief Deputy presented monthly report. Motion by Supervisor Aasen, seconded by Supervisor Handrich, to approve Chief Deputy Kraeger’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            CPT Wilz presented his monthly report. Motion by Supervisor Aasen, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to approve CPT Wilz’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Sheriff’s Report:  1) Working on the budget. 2) Brat Fry, Friday 08.10.12 10a-2p. 3) Dance Hall permit for wedding Flinn/Dering on 08.11.12 approved with a motion by Supervisor Craig, seconded by Supervisor Aasen. Motion carried without a negative vote.  4) Dedication/Memorial service for Jerry Mork on 08.17.12. Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Handrich to approve the Sheriff’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

            Tower Update: Cutover is complete, work is progressing, making adjustments, continue to tweak until the final inspection.  Old towers being torn down August 20, 2012.

Motion by Supervisor Handrich, seconded by Supervisor Aasen to adjourn. Motion carried without a negative vote.  Meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
