LAW ENFORCEMENT MEETING

9 April 2012

            The Waupaca County Law Enforcement Committee was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Jonely. Members present: Supervisors Flink, Sorensen, Johnson and Aasen. Others present: Sheriff Hardel, Chief Deputy Kraeger, Captains Wilz, Olson and Conat, EM Director Andrew Carlin, County Board Chairman Dick Koeppen.

Chairman Jonely made the opening meeting statement that this meeting and all other meetings of this Committee are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place and agenda of this meeting.

          Motion by Supervisor Flink, seconded by Supervisor Johnson, to approve the minutes of the previous meetings of the Law Enforcement Committee. Motion carried without a negative vote.

          Motion by Supervisor Sorensen, seconded by Supervisor Johnson, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried without a negative vote.

          Motion by Supervisor Flink, seconded by Supervisor Johnson, to approve the bills as submitted. Motion carried without a negative vote.

          Motion by Supervisor Sorensen, seconded by Supervisor Johnson, to approve Chief Deputy Kraeger’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

          Motion by Supervisor Flink, seconded by Supervisor Aasen, to approve CPT Wilz’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.

         

          Sheriff’s report commented on tower update, retirement age and ETF, discussion on fence costs at Shauger tower and plaque presentation to Supervisor Flink after 35 years of serving on the Law Enforcement Committee.

         

Motion by Supervisor Jonely, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn. Motion carried without a negative vote.
