LAW
ENFORCEMENT MEETING
14 February
2012
The Waupaca County Law Enforcement Committee was called to
order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Jonely. Members present: Supervisors Flink, Sorensen,
Johnson and Aasen. Others present: Sheriff Hardel, Chief Deputy Kraeger, Captains
Wilz and Olson and Lee Much of Marion.
Chairman Jonely made the opening meeting statement that this
meeting and all other meetings of this Committee are open to the public. Proper
notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with Wisconsin
Statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place and agenda of
this meeting.
Motion by Supervisor Flink, seconded
by Supervisor Aasen, to approve the minutes of the previous meetings of the Law
Enforcement Committee. Motion carried without a negative vote.
Motion by Supervisor Sorensen,
seconded by Supervisor Aasen, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion
carried without a negative vote.
Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded
by Supervisor Flink, to approve the bills as submitted. Motion carried without
a negative vote.
Motion by Supervisor Flink, seconded
by Supervisor Johnson, to approve Chief Deputy Kraeger’s report. Motion carried
without a negative vote.
Motion
by Supervisor Flink, seconded by Supervisor Sorensen, to approve CPT Wilz’s report.
Motion carried without a negative vote.
Sheriff
Hardel commented on Hwy 10 accidents on Friday, February 10, 2012, due to
weather. 31 accidents before noon. Sheriff advises burglaries have been on the
rise and there are legislative issues in Madison that the Sheriffs are working
on. Motion by Supervisor Sorensen, seconded by Supervisor Flink to approve the
Sheriff’s report. Motion carried without a negative vote.
Tower
update – there have been delays, company has 60 days to get the project completed.
Motion by Supervisor Flink, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to approve the tower
update. Motion carried without a negative vote.
Discussion
concerning Crazy J’s Campground Dance Hall Application. Motion by Supervisor
Flink, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to suspend Crazy J’s Campground Dance
Hall application until all 2011 invoices have been paid and grant the Sheriff’s
Department the ability to suspend any dance hall application location that is
two (2) months behind on paying their invoices. Motion carried without a
negative vote.

by Supervisor Flink, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn. Motion carried
without a negative vote.
