Meeting called to order at 9:10 AM.

 

Review and accept Agenda. 

A motion was made by Ian Grasshoff and seconded by Faye Wilson to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

 

Approve minutes.

Mike Mazemke noted a typo on previous minutes under imaging and social security, dedaction should be changed to redaction.  A motion was made by Clyde Tellock and seconded by Joe Glodowski to approve the minutes.  Motion carried.

 

Introduction: GIS Land Records Specialist

Jason McKeefry, the new GIS Land Records Specialist was introduced to the group.

 

Overview of Waupaca County GIS web applications

Ian Grasshoff gave a live demonstration of Waupaca County’s public GIS web applications.  Ian quickly went through some of the features various features of the Land Records GIS Viewer application.  Ian then shared some site usage statistics, which showed that annually the County GIS web applications get visited approximately 37,000 times by 16,000 different people.

 

Clintonville Earthquake – Using GIS in Emergency Response

Ian Grasshoff and Andy Carlin gave a quick overview of the Clintonville Earthquake incident that occurred in late March of 2012.  Ian Grasshoff went on to explain how GIS was used as a tool to help aid the response effort.  Ian explained that the City sent him lists of addresses where residents reported booming/shaking events. He then explained that he used GIS techniques to quickly map the reported incident locations.  Ian stated that these locations were presented on hardcopy maps and in a GIS web application that allows residents to animate the incident locations over time. 

 

PLSS GPS Survey Control – Finish the Town of Lind

Ian Grasshoff and Joe Glodowski requested approval to complete PLSS GPS survey control on the east 1/2 of Town 21 North Range 12 East (Town of Lind).  Ian stated that the project would be paid for utilizing funds from the 2012 Land Information Office budget as well as the 2012 Surveyor’s Office budget.  A motion was made by Terry Murphy and seconded by Mike Mazemke to complete the PLSS GPS Survey Control for the east ˝ of the Town of Lind.  Motion carried. 

 

Adjournment.  A motion was made by Terry Murphy and seconded by Ian Grasshoff to adjourn at 10:00 am. Motion carried.
