LAKEVIEW MANOR COMMITTEE MEETING

MINUTES

2/24/15

1. Chairman Barrington called the meeting to order at 9AM in the Lakeview Manor Conference Room.

2. Roll call Supervisors Barrington, Penney, Handrich, Johnson, and Sorensen.  Also present is Megan Feirtag, Nursing Home Administrator.

3. Moved by Supervisor Johnson seconded by Supervisor Handrich to accept the agenda as written.  Motion carried.

4. Moved by Supervisor Sorensen, seconded by Supervisor Penney to approve minutes 1/27/15.  Motion carried.

5. Megan Feirtag, Administrator gave report to include following:

a. Current census at Lakeview Manor  32

i. Medicaid             20

ii. Medicare/Insurance       0

iii. Private Pay         5

iv. Family Care         4

v. Hospice                2

vi. Partnership        1

b. There were no outstanding grievances to report since the last committee meeting.

6. The Committee reviewed Disbursements for January ’15 and Financials.  It was noted that Lakeview is ahead of budget year to date.  Motion by Handrich seconded by Penney to approve reports.  Motion carried.

7. The purchase of a new vehicle for Lakeview Manor from A&J Commercial was discussed. 

8. Lakeview Manor is moving forward and discussion about the addition of a CBRF was had.  The administrator also stated that the idea of a consortium would be looked into and reported upon at the next committee meeting.

9. Lakeview Manor is looking into changing their name to a less institutionalized name.

10. There are currently two management positions open at Lakeview both of which have candidates for hire and hope to be filled within 2 weeks.

11. Moved by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Handrich to adjourn meeting at 9:50AM. Motion carried.

Next meeting to be held in the Lakeview Manor Conference room on March 24, 2015 at 9AM.
