LAKEVIEW MANOR COMMITTEE MEETING

MINUTES

7/28/14

1.      Chairman Sorensen called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM in the Lakeview Manor Conference Room.

2.      Roll call Supervisors Johnson, Penney, and Sorenson.  Also present are Melissa Goke, Business Office Manager, Megan Feirtag, Nursing Home Administrator, Cheryl Buchholz, Maintenance Director, Carol Luedtke, Dietary Manger, and Dick Koeppen, County Board Chair.  Supervisors Barrington and Handrich excused.

3.      Moved by Supervisor Johnson seconded by Supervisor Penney to accept the agenda as written.  Motion carried.

4.      Moved by Supervisor Penney, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to approve minutes 5/27/14.  Motion carried.

5.      Megan Feirtag, Administrator gave report to include following:

a.      Current census at Lakeview Manor  39

                                                    i.     Medicaid             23

                                                   ii.     Medicare/Insurance        2

                                                  iii.     Private Pay          9

                                                  iv.     Family Care         5

                                                   v.     Hospice                0

b.      There were no outstanding grievances to report.

6.      Dietary Manager Carol Luedtke reported on the success of Lakeview Manor’s summer picnic, as well as Lakeview Manor being awarded the Meals On Wheels contract through 2016.  Carol also informed the board that the Meals On Wheels program has been profitable for Lakeview Manor thus far.

7.      Utilizing an automated attendant for Lakeview Manor’s phone system was discussed.  It was decided that this topic would be revisited next year in concordance with receptionist staff retirement. 

8.      Maintenance Director Cheryl Buchholtz gave a report on the recently conducted audit of outsourcing Lakeview Manor’s laundry.  Aramark conducted the audit and presented a saving of 31% compared to what Lakeview Manor is currently spending.  Moved by Supervisor Johnson and seconded by Supervisor Penney to outsource laundry to Aramark.

9.      Megan Feirtag presented the state survey results to the board of only receiving one citation on their annual survey.  

10.   The Committee reviewed Disbursements for June ’14 and Financials.  It was noted that Lakeview is ahead of budget monthly and year to date.  Motion by Johnson seconded by Penney to approve reports.  Motion carried.

11.  Moved by Supervisor Penney, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn meeting at 11:30 AM.  Motion carried.

Next meeting to be held in the Lakeview Manor Conference room on August 25th, 2014 at 9 AM.
