LAKEVIEW MANOR COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES
10/28/14
1. Chairman Sorensen called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM in the Lakeview Manor Conference Room.
2. Roll call Supervisors Johnson, Penney, Handrich, and Sorensen. Also present are Supervisor Poehlman, Melissa Goke, Business Office Manager and Megan Feirtag, Nursing Home Administrator.
3. Moved by Supervisor Johnson seconded by Supervisor Handrich to accept the agenda as written. Motion carried.
4. Moved by Supervisor Penney, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to approve minutes 9/25/14. Motion carried.
5. Megan Feirtag, Administrator gave report to include following:
a. Current census at Lakeview Manor 35
i. Medicaid 23
ii. Medicare/Insurance 2
iii. Private Pay 4
iv. Family Care 5
v. Hospice 1
b. There were two incidents in the dietary department that were reported on.
6. The Committee reviewed Disbursements for September ’14 and Financials. It was noted that Lakeview is ahead of budget year to date. Motion by Johnson seconded by Handrich to approve reports. Motion carried.
7. Two budget updates were discussed. The first being hiring someone specifically for the Meals on Wheels program instead of having it be the Dietary Manager’s responsibility. The second being that the Medical Director had requested a higher monthly amount due to the fact that there is not currently a psychiatrist designated to the facility.
8. The benefits offered by other county owned nursing homes in Wisconsin were looked at to compare to Lakeview Manor.
9. The appointment of an Ad Hoc committee for research of Lakeview Manor’s future was discussed.
10. Moved by Supervisor Sorenson, seconded by Supervisor Penney to adjourn meeting at 10:20AM. Motion carried.
Next meeting to be held in the Lakeview Manor Conference room on November 24, 2014 at 9 AM.
