LAKEVIEW MANOR COMMITTEE MEETING

MINUTES

9/10/13

1. Chairman Barrington called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM in the Lakeview Manor Conference Room.

2. Roll call Supervisors Johnson, Sorensen and Penney also present Melissa Goke Business Office Manager, Carrie Baxter-Crist Resident Services Coordinator and Melissa Drews Nursing Home Administrator.  Supervisor Mares was excused.

3. Moved by Supervisor Sorensen seconded by Supervisor Johnson to accept the agenda as written.  Motion carried.

4. Motion to approve minutes of 8/26/13 made by Supervisor Sorensen and seconded by Supervisor Johnson.  Motion carried.

5. Melissa Drews Nursing Home Administrator gave report to include following:

a. Current census at Lakeview Manor  38

i. Medicaid         25

ii. Medicare/Insurance   3

iii. Private Pay      8

iv. Family Care     2

v. Hospice           0

6. Report on outstanding grievances.   None at present

7. The Committee discussed report to Full County Board which included options for Lakeview Manor’s future. 

8. The Lakeview Manor Committee voted 4 – 0 with one absent to recommend the remodel option which includes 2 units of Assisted Living and downsizing the nursing home.  The Board also agreed to explore funding options which may include the sale of adjoining property. 

9. Moved by Supervisor Sorensen, Seconded by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn at 2:25 PM.  Motion carried.

10. Next meeting will be 9/23/2013 in Lakeview Manor conference room.
