LAKEVIEW MANOR COMMITTEE MEETING

MINUTES

5/23/12

1.       Chairman Barrington called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM in the Lakeview Manor Administrators Office. 

2.       Roll call Supervisors Barrington, Johnson, Sorensen, Penney, Mares, Melissa Goke, Business Office Manager Leighton Trice Maintenance Director, Ron Hansen, Cheryl Buchholtz Environmental Services Manager, and Melissa Drews Nursing Home Administrator.

3.        Agenda item #9 was moved to beginning of meeting.  Motion by Supervisor Johnson seconded by Supervisor Sorensen.  Motion carried to accept the amended agenda.

4.       Moved by Supervisor Sorensen, seconded by Supervisor Johnson to approve minutes of 4/25/12.  Motion carried.

5.       Committee heard from Cheryl Buchholtz, Environmental Services Manager regarding repair and maintenance of building.  Cheryl reported Fire System evaluation has smoke detector sensitivity concerns which were corrected.  Dish machine temperature concerns which the facility is addressing.  Discussed maintenance needs of facility with Mr. Trice who stated his department might not be able to provide the time needed to assist maintenance with preventative maintenance program.  He will continue to provide emergency assistance as needed.  Administrator will evaluate need for part-time help.

6.       Melissa Drews Nursing Home Administrator gave report to include following:

a.        Current census at Lakeview Manor  42

                                                               i.      Medicaid               30

                                                              ii.      Medicare/Insurance           2

                                                            iii.      Private Pay            4

                                                            iv.      Family Care           4

                                                              v.      Hospice 2

7.       Report on outstanding grievances.   Terminated employee has filed a grievance.

8.       The Committee heard from Melissa Goke regarding the April ‘12 financials. 

9.       The Committee reviewed Receipts and Disbursements for April ‘12.  Motion by Supr. Sorensen seconded by Supr. Mares to approve reports.  Motion carried.

10.    The Committees’ next meeting will be on June 20th, 2012.   Committee meeting will move from 4th Wednesday to 3rd Wednesday of month for all future meeting.

11.    Moved by Supervisor Sorensen, seconded by Supervisor Mares to adjourn meeting at 10:10 AM.  Motion carried.
