WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in Room 1037 of the Waupaca County Courthouse Chair Barrington called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy present and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz excused.  

 

OPEN SESSION

 

MOTION: County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No public comment.

 

Monthly Report - Review recruitment/resignation updates, Benefit Issues with Anthem/BlueCross Blue Shield, status of training & implementation of on-line application system (NeoGov) and introduction of a Facebook page for the HR Department.

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve a medical leave request.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve a 2nd medical leave request.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Update on annual performance evaluations for 2014.  All evaluations have been received with the exception of one department.  A letter will be drafted by the County Board Chair and the item will be placed on the agenda for the committee of jurisdiction.

 

MOTION: County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the reversal of the reclassification for the Resident Service Coordinator to the former grade placement.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION: County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve moving forward with the elimination of the Patrol Superintendent position at the Highway Department and move forward with replacing it with an Assistant Field Operations Manager with a Labor Grade 14 on the Waupaca County salary/wage schedule.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

 

MOTION:   County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to go into Closed Session pursuant to WI State Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) (f) for the preliminary consideration of individual employee compensation information.  Roll Call Vote: Barrington, aye; Murphy, aye; Koeppen, aye. 10:25 a.m.

 

CLOSED SESSION

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to return to Open Session.  Roll Call Vote: Barrington, aye; Murphy, aye; Koeppen, aye; 10:25 a.m.

 

MOTION:   County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to adjourn in Closed Session.  Motion carried without a negative vote.  10:45 a.m.
