WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

December 23, 2014

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in Room 1037 of the Waupaca County Courthouse Chair Barrington called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz all present.  

OPEN SESSION

MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

No public comment.

Discuss recruitment/resignation updates.  Discuss 2014 year-to-date budget for HR Department.

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve a vacation donation request.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

MOTION: County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the vacation carryover request of 80 hours for up to two months.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the draft Corporation Counsel job description.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

Review and discussion on Personnel Policies & Procedures amendments.  MOTION: Supervisor Federwitz moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve the amendments to Section 9 – Vacation, PTO, Funeral Leave, Holidays.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to go into Closed Session pursuant to WI State Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) for the purposes of discussion of individual employee performance.  Roll Call Vote: Barrington, aye; Murphy, aye; Koeppen, aye; Federwitz, aye.  10:00 a.m.

CLOSED SESSION

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to return to Open Session.  Roll Call Vote: Barrington, aye; Murphy, aye; Koeppen, aye; Federwitz, aye.  10:15 a.m.

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to adjourn.  Motion carried without a negative vote.  10:15 a.m.
