WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

November 24, 2014

 

 

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in Room 1037 of the Waupaca County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m.  County Board Chair Dick Koeppen called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy, and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz present.  Chair Gary Barrington excused.

 

OPEN SESSION

 

MOTION: Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION:   County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meetings.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No public comment.

 

Human Resources monthly report updates on recruitments, resignations/retirements, interview dates, and performance evaluations. 

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the medical leave request for two days.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the carryover of 5 days vacation until May for an employee with an upcoming medical leave.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Review and reconsideration of a reclassification appeal.  MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve an adjustment of one step to the initial reclass request due to the circumstances of the consolidation of duties and change to exempt status.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Update on the WCA training on FLSA and status of FLSA as it relates to Waupaca County.

 

Discussion of Personnel Policies and Procedures and futures amendments.

 

The next regular monthly meeting will be December 23, 2014.

 

MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.  10:45 a.m.
