COMMITTEE MINUTES - OCTOBER 21, 2014

 

 

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in Room 1037 of the Waupaca County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m.  Chair Barrington called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy, and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz all present.  

 

OPEN SESSION

 

MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION:  Supr. Murphy moved and Supr. Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the minutes of Sept. 24th and Sept. 30th.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No public comment.

 

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to go into Closed Session pursuant to WI State Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) for the purposes of consideration of individual employees performance evaluations.  Roll Call Vote: Barrington, aye; Koeppen, aye; Murphy, aye; Federwitz, aye. 

 

CLOSED SESSION

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to adjourn the Closed Session and return to Open Session per WI State Statutes 19.85.  Roll Call Vote: Barrington, aye; Koeppen, aye; Murphy, aye; Federwitz, aye. 

 

OPEN SESSION

 

HR Director’s Monthly Report:  Recruitment; Wage/Benefit issues; Labor Relations; and Unemployment Compensation

 

Vacation Carryover Requests.

Finance Director: Motion:  Co. Bd. Chr. Koeppen moved and Supr. Federwitz seconded the motion to approve 40 hrs. for two months for the Finance Director.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

WCI Supervisor – Gene Ruppert.  Motion:  Supr. G. Murphy moved and Supr. Barrington seconded the motion to approve 40 hrs. in 2015 and additional 60 hours until June 1, 2015.  The motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Discussed revising the Insurance Open Enrollment Plan Amendment.   Mandy will be meeting with Atty. Andy Phillips for opening exchange of proposals with Law Enforcement Association on November 19th tentatively at 2 p.m.

 

Mandy will be setting up a date for negotiations with the Hwy. Union and Mary Scoon.  Mandy and Mary Robbins will be speaking with Department Heads on list of duties their department needs the position of Corporation Counsel to address.

 

Mandy has one reclassification appeal from Angela Dahle, Register in Probate, Probate Registrar and Probate Court Commissioner.

 

Next meeting date tentatively set for November 24th at 9 a.m.
