WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

July 11, 2014

 

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in Room 1037 of the Waupaca County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m.  County Board Chair Dick Koeppen called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy, and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz present.  Chair Gary Barrington excused.

 

OPEN SESSION

 

MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous June 24th meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the June 27th meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No public comment.

 

Review of the 2014 Mid-Term Health Insurance Report and discussion on the 2015 renewal.  Representatives Jay Scott and Marsha King from Associated Financial Group were present.  Based on mid-term projections and funding analysis performance of the County’s self-funded health insurance no adjustment in rates is expected to be necessary for 2015.  A 0% increase will be used for the 2015 budget preparation.

 

Review of Human Resources monthly report.  Updates provided on the status of recruitments, resignations/retirements, interviews, wage and benefits, labor relation issues etc. 

 

Discussion of Department Head Performance Evaluation System and presentation at the Executive Committee meeting.

 

Human Resources Department Intern request.  MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the hiring of an intern for the remainder of 2014 not to exceed $4,000.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No Closed Session.

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.  11:30 a.m.
