WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in Room 1037 of the Waupaca County Courthouse at 11:15 a.m. Chair Gary Barrington called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement. Roll Call: Chair Gary Barrington, County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy, and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz all present.
OPEN SESSION
MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried without a negative vote.
MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the previous meetings. Motion carried without a negative vote.
No public comment.
Review of Human Resources monthly report. Updates provided on the status of recruitments, resignations/retirements, interviews, wage and benefits, labor relation issues etc. Discussion update regarding status of recruitment for Administrator for Lakeview Manor.
MOTION: Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to recommend for approval Resolution #2 for Hazardous Incident Response Team training pay. Motion carried without a negative vote.
Mandy Welch and DHHS Director Chuck Price presented information regarding the creation of a Deputy Director position. Mr. Price provided data of surrounding counties on organizational structure and the number of counties with Deputy Director positions. MOTION: Supervisor Murphy moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to recommend for approval Resolution #3 regarding the creation of a DHHS Deputy Director at WC Grade 16. Motion carried without a negative vote.
Discussion on requests for Department Head vacation carryovers. MOTION: Supervisor Federwitz moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to approve the vacation carryover requests as presented. Motion carried without a negative vote.
MOTION: County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion adjourn the meeting. Motion carried without a negative vote. 1:15 p.m.
