WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

December 9, 2013

 

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department Conference Room at 9:30 a.m.  Chair Gary Barrington called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: Chair Gary Barrington, County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy, and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz all present.  Administrative Coordinator/County Clerk Mary Robbins, Supervisors Flease and Jonely also present.

 

OPEN SESSION

 

MOTION:   County Board Chair Koeppen moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

No public comment.

 

Discussion regarding the grade placement of the Field Operations Manager/Deputy Highway Commissioner position grade placement. 

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Federwitz seconded the motion to accept placement at Waupaca County Grade 15 with placement of the employee at step 8. 

 

Amended MOTION:  Supervisor Murphy moved and Federwitz seconded the motion to place the Field Operations Manager/Deputy Highway Commissioner at Waupaca County Grade 15 with placement of the employee at step 9 within that grade.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

County Board Chair excused 10:10 a.m.

 

Discussion regarding back pay/retroactive adjustment in light of the additional managerial responsibilities taken on by this employee since February 2013.    MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to approve back pay in the amount of $5000.  Motion carried without a negative vote.  Chair Koeppen excused.

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Federwitz moved and Supervisor Murphy seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote.  10:30 a.m.
