WAUPACA COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

June 25, 2013

 

The Waupaca County HR Committee met in the Waupaca County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m. in Room 1068.  Chair Gary Barrington called the meeting to order and gave the open meeting statement.  Roll Call: Chair Gary Barrington, County Board Chair Dick Koeppen, Supervisor Gerald Murphy, and Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz all present.  

 

OPEN SESSION

 

MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Minutes postponed until next meeting.

 

No public comment.

 

Representative from Workforce Solutions (part of WCA Services) was unable to attend and will be rescheduled for presentation at another meeting.

 

Review and discussion of the monthly HR Department Report on recruitments/terminations, labor relations updates, etc.

 

Review requests for vacation carryover request.  MOTION:   Supervisor Murphy moved and Supervisor Federwitz seconded the motion to approve the second request for leave for one month for (K.E.).  Motion carried without a negative vote.

 

Discussion regarding Health Care Reform impacts and preliminary mid-term insurance renewal.  It was requested by the HR Department of have insurance consultant Jay Scott attend a special meeting with the HR Committee to present alternate options for insurance for 2014 that would lower the budgetary impact.

 

Performance Evaluations have all been completed with the exception of two departments which are currently in the process of completing them. 

 

MOTION:  Supervisor Federwitz moved and County Board Chair Koeppen seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried without a negative vote. 11:40 a.m.
