October 31, 2014 Highway Committee Meeting

Chairman Flease called the meeting of the Waupaca County Highway Committee to order at 9 a.m. in the Waupaca County Highway office. Open meeting statement was noted.

Members present – Chairman Flease, Supervisors Jonely, Much, McClone and Aasen.

Also present – Jill Lodewegen, Administrative Assistant, Dean Steingraber, Highway Commissioner.

MOTION Jonely/McClone to approve the minutes of the October 17, 2014 regular Committee Meeting.  Passed, voice vote.

MOTION Aasen/Much to approve the October 31, 2014 meeting agenda of the Highway Committee.  Passed, voice vote.

The Committee members reviewed two (2) bill batches dated 10/23/14 and 10/30/14.  MOTION Jonely/Much to approve the bill batches as presented.  Passed, voice vote.

Mr. Steingraber distributed the Commissioner’s Report which included:

· Calendar dates that involve the Committee

· Department projects

· Financial Reports

Mr. Steingraber recommended that the committee send out a notice of intent for engineer service for the CTH E (Berlin Street) Bridge Design project. MOTION Much/McClone to send a notice of intent for engineer service for the CTH E (Berlin Street) Bridge Design project. Passed, voice vote.

Mr. Steingraber recommended that the committee approve the CTH I (CTH Y and Paape Road Intersections) Design/Right of Way project payment for the following parcels for $475, noting two with existing Right of Way only.

MOTION Much/Aasen to approve the CTH I (CTH Y and Paape Road Intersections) Design/Right of Way project payment for the above parcels for $475. Passed, voice vote.

Mr. Steingraber stated the Village of Big Falls has returned a five (5) year service agreement for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 in the amount of $1,420 per year. MOTION Jonely/Aasen to accept the Village of Big Falls five (5) year service agreement in the amount of $1,420 per year.  Passed, voice vote.

Mr. Steingraber  presented a 50/50 bridge/culvert petition for the town of Bear Creek for Bear Creek Road for $2,028.60 cost share. MOTION McClone/Much to accept the 50/50 bridge/culvert petition for the Town of Bear Creek for Bear Creek Road for $2,028.60 cost share. Passed, voice vote.

Mr. Steingraber requested that the committee adopt option F for ACT 377 for Waupaca County. MOTION Jonely/Much to adopt option F for ACT 377 for Waupaca County. Passed, voice vote.

The committee noted that the November 28 meeting would be held Monday, December 1 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

 MOTION Jonely/McClone to adjourn at Noon.  Passed, voice vote.
