April 5, 2013 Highway Committee Meeting

 

Chairman Flease called the regular meeting of the Waupaca County Highway Committee to order at 9:00 a.m. in the Waupaca County Highway Department office building.

 

Members present – Chairman Flease, Supervisors Peterson, Mares, Jonely and Aasen.

 

Also present were Wayne Verdon from the Town of Farmington and Mike Exford, Mead & Hunt, Dean Steingraber, Highway Commissioner and Jill Lodewegen, Administrative Assistant.

 

Chairman Flease presented the open meeting statement.

 

MOTION Jonely/Peterson to approve the minutes of the March 22, 2013 regular Committee Meeting.  Passed, voice vote.

 

MOTION Peterson/Mares to approve the Agenda of the April 5, 2013 regular meeting of the Highway Committee.  Passed, voice vote.

 

Mr. Verdon asked the committee to confirm that the CTH “Q” (Round Lake Road to STH 54) project was in the current 5 year highway plan and that it would be a total reconstruction. The committee confirmed that it is currently on the schedule for 2016 as a total reconstruction project. Mr. Verdon also asked about if the State funding for the project would need to be returned to the state. The committee explained that they would be talking to representatives of the state regarding that matter.

 

The Committee members reviewed one (1) bill batch printout dated 3/28/13.  MOTION Jonely/Peterson to approve the bill batch as presented.  Passed, voice vote.

 

Mr. Steingraber gave the Commissioner’s Report.

 

Mr. Steingraber asked permission to sign the County/Municipal Agreement for reconstruction of CTH “N” (Union Street), for a total cost of $630,000 split 61.15/38.85% between the County and the City of Manawa. MOTION Peterson/Jonely to approve the signing of the County/Municipal Agreement for reconstruction of CTH “N” (Union Street), for a total cost of $630,000 split 61.15/38.85% between the County and the City of Manawa. Passed, voice vote.

 

 MOTION Aasen/Jonely to adjourn at 11:30 a.m.  Passed, voice vote.
