Meeting Minutes
Monday August 12, 2013
· The Waupaca County Emergency Management Committee was called to order by, Chairman Dick Koeppen, at 9:03am.
Members Present: Chairman Dick Koeppen, Vice Chairman Jim Loughrin, Supervisors:, Bill Jonely, Robert Flease, Gary Barrington and Gerald Murphy
Others Present: Andrew Carlin, Eric Halverson
Absent: None
Opening meeting statement was read by Chairman Dick Koeppen
A motion was made by Supervisor Barrington and seconded by Supervisor Flease to approve the minutes from the June 10, 2013 meeting. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Supervisor Jonely and seconded by Supervisor Barrington to approve the agenda as written. Motion carried.
Andrew Carlin presented the proposed 2014 budget showing a 6% decrease over the current year budget. A motion was made by Supervisor Murphy and a second by Supervisor Barrington to approve the proposed budget. Motion carried.
Carlin stated that several different lease options are available to the county, discussion followed.

· June LEPC meeting – new members(Eric Rasmussen, Don Kimlicka)
· Presentation by TransCanada Pipeline
· Training with DHHS on ICS and ESF’s (How it works with Public Health)
· Continue with MABAS training – Live 7-1-2013
· Manawa Rodeo – MCP, review event plan
· Updates to Mobile Command Post
· 2 New Planning Facilities (Alter Metals, Creative converting
· Iola Old Car Show – small fuel leak
· Mobile Command Post to Artyfest – Clintonville
· Mobile Command Post to Scandinavia Corn Roast
· Meeting date set for HAZ-Mit core team meeting Aug. 29th
· New Hazmat program with the state – level III team
· Attended Waupaca County Fire Fighters Association meeting
· 8-7 storm event, southern half of county
· Damage assessment & UDSR submissions
· EMS meeting in New London
· Command Post to Clintonville Firefighters Fest
Next regular meeting of the Waupaca County Emergency Management Committee is scheduled for October 14, 2013 at 9:00 am in the conference room at the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
· A motion was made by Supervisor Flease and seconded by Supervisor Murphy, to adjourn. Motion carried.
