Meeting Minutes

Monday April 8, 2013

 

·    The Waupaca County Emergency Management Committee was called to order by, Chairman Dick Koeppen, at 9:00am.

 

      Members Present: Chairman Dick Koeppen, Vice Chairman Jim Loughrin, Supervisors:, Bill Jonely, Robert Flease and Gerald Murphy

 

      Others Present: Andrew Carlin, Eric Halverson

 

      Absent:  Gary Barrington

 

·    Opening meeting statement was read by Chairman Dick Koeppen

 

·    A motion was made by Supervisor Flease and seconded by Supervisor Jonely to approve the minutes from the February 11, 2013 meeting.  Motion carried.

 

·    A motion was made by Supervisor Jonely and seconded by Supervisor Murphy to approve the agenda as written.  Motion carried. 

 

·         Items discussed included:

 

·         Attended the LEPC Meeting

·          

·         Organizing all County Schools both public and parochial to updater their plans and have a consistent plan throughout the county

Attended the SWAT exercise in Clintonville

·         Participated in 2 school lock-down drills in Waupaca (Learning Center and Middle School

Attended the Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management

·         Continuing to work with Verizon on renting space on the Waupaca Tower

·          

·         Meet with IS, MCE and Highway to discuss Disaster Recovery and Fiber Optic line to highway

·          

·         Hosted a Confined Space Entry class at Weyauwega in February

·          

·         Hosted an ICS 300 class in New London that started in February

·          

·         Filed report on Diesel Fuel Spill (CN Railroad)

·          

·         Hosted meetings for Dispatch, Fire and Ambulance explaining MABAS

·          

·         Attended the Fire Chiefs meeting

·          

·         Attended the MABAS meetings

·          

·         Attender LEPC Meeting

·          

·         Participated in a planning meeting with RMC for an upcoming table top exercise

·          

·          Attended the Law Enforcement meeting

·          

·         Attended the quarterly Land Council meeting Meet with and planning an exercise with ADRC

·          

·         Attended WI DNR IMT training

·          

·         Worked booth at WDUX Home Show with Waupaca Fire Dept. and WI DNR/

·          

·         Meet with and planning an exercise with ADRC

 

 

·         Wolf River high water update

·          

·         Sent out ESF’s for review to the LEPC Members

·                     A motion was made by Supervisor Murphy and seconded by Supervisor Loughrin, to adjourn. Motion carried.
