Meeting Minutes

Monday February 11, 2013

 

·     The Waupaca County Emergency Management Committee was called to order by, Chairman Dick Koeppen, at 9:00am.

 

      Members Present: Chairman Dick Koeppen, Vice Chairman Jim Loughrin, Supervisors:, Bill Jonely, and Gerald Murphy

 

      Others Present: Andrew Carlin, Eric Halverson

 

       

·     Opening meeting statement was read by Chairman Dick Koeppen

 

·     A motion was made by Supervisor Jonely and seconded by Supervisor Loughrin to approve the minutes from the December 10, 2012 meeting.  Motion carried.

 

·     A motion was made by Supervisor Murphy and seconded by Supervisor Jonley to approve the agenda as written.  Motion carried. 

 

·         Items discussed included:

·         Introduced Eric Halverson as the new Deputy Director of Emergency Management

·         Applied for the 2013 Computer Hazmat Grant

·         Received final reimbursement for our 2012 Computer Hazmat grant

·         Attended a Social Media Class

·         Attended the LEPC Meeting

·         Participated in the Leadership Waupaca interviews

·         Reorganized Bear Creek Ambulance paging frequencies

·         Conducted interviews for Sue’s replacement

·         Meet with IS, MCE and Roger Holman to discuss long term planning for county wide communication

·         Worked with Public Health on Flu issues and attended a state wide webinar on the flu outbreak

·         Attended the Legislative and Judicial meeting to discuss Courthouse security

·         Working with the highway to resolve communication issues at the Waupaca shop

·         Hosted an ICS 300 class at Waupaca in January

·         Finalizing an ICS 300 class in New London to start in February

·         Participated in several National Weather Service webinars for snow storms

·         Attended the County EMS Meeting, attended the Fire Chiefs meeting, attended the MABIS meeting, attended the Law Enforcement meeting, attended the Highway Traffic Safety meeting, attended the quarterly Land Council meeting

 

·         A motion was made by Supervisor Jonley and seconded by Supervisor Murphy to adjourn. Motion carried.
