Meeting Minutes

Monday October 8, 2012

 

·     The Waupaca County Emergency Management Committee was called to order by, Chairman Dick Koeppen, at 9:00am.

 

      Members Present: Chairman Dick Koeppen, Supervisors: Robert Flease, Bill Jonely, and Gerald Murphy

 

      Others Present: Andrew Carlin, Sue Weir

 

      Absent: Vice Chairman Jim Loughrin, Supervisor Gary Barrington

 

·     Opening meeting statement was read by Chairman Dick Koeppen

 

·     A motion was made by Supervisor Murphy and seconded by Supervisor Jonely to approve the minutes from the August 13, 2012 meeting.  Motion carried.

 

·     A motion was made by Supervisor Flease and seconded by Supervisor Jonely to approve the agenda as written.  Motion carried. 

 

·         Items discussed included:

 

·         Hazardous Mitigation Planning meetings.

·         Marion DPW flood mitigation issues

·         FY2013 budget and yearend POW report for FFY12

·         Final Reimbursement request for EPCRA 2012 grant.

·         EMA and EPCRA grant applications for FFY13

·         Off-site updates for 1st ˝ of FFY13 POW requirements

·         Sept. LEPC meeting

·         Commodity Flow Study

·         Active Shooter- exercise in Weyauwega

·         Highway supervisors meeting to discuss radios

·         Phone training for new system

·         Meeting with Bear Creek and Clintonville EMS  - to discuss coverage

·         MABAS update – (Chapter 142)

·         Annual hazmat refresher

·         Car accident simulation for Weyauwega high school

·         Meeting with State Vet to discuss animal health emergencies

·         A motion was made by Supervisor Flease and seconded by Supervisor Murphy to adjourn. Motion carried.
