Meeting Minutes

 

Monday June 11, 2012

 

·     The Waupaca County Informational Emergency Management Committee meeting was held at 9:00am.

 

      Members Present: Chairman Dick Koeppen,  Vice Chair Jim Loughrin, Supervisors Robert Flease, Gerald Murphy, Bill Jonely, and Gary Barrington

 

      Others Present: Andrew Carlin and Sue Weir

 

·     Opening meeting statement was read by Chairman Dick Koeppen

 

·     A motion was made by Supervisor Barrington and seconded by Supervisor Murphy to approve the minutes from the April 9, meeting.  Motion carried.

 

·     A motion was made by Supervisor Jonely and seconded by Supervisor Flease to approve the agenda as written.  Motion carried. 

 

·         Items discussed included:

 

·         Continue to meet with Gary Thurkelson & Tait regarding radio towers

·         Attended Dept Head/Finance, Communications & Policy meetings

·         Submitted formal notification to participate in the EMPG/EPCRA program for FY13

·         Notified all county municipalities about Hazard Mitigation Plan Grant requirements.

·         Completed Carlson Dettmann Job Description questionnaires

·         Met with Ron Johnston at the WVH – radio frequencies

·          Hosted a 2-basic & 1-advanced E-Sponder class for DHHS, 1st responders and municipal personnel.

·         Reviewed ESF’s and Mass Evacuation Annex for 2nd ½ of FY2012 POW requirements

·         Completed Off-site updates for 2nd ½ of FY2012 POW requirements

·         Received $5000.00 payment from Waushara co. for Haz-mat yearly contract.

·         Held 7-meetings, throughout the county, to discuss the radio system upgrades

·         Applied for WISCOM

·         Participated in Tornado Awareness Drill on April 19th

·         Planning for future communication needs (long term projects)

·         Sent out invite for Aviation Rescue Training to all EMS, FD and PD
