Meeting Minutes
Monday April 9, 2012
· The Waupaca County Informational Emergency Management Committee meeting was held at 9:00am.
Members Present: Chairman Dick Koeppen, Vice Chair Jim Loughrin, Supervisors Robert Flease, Gerald Murphy, Bill Jonely, and Gary Barrington
Others Present: Andrew Carlin and Sue Weir
· Opening meeting statement was read by Chairman Dick Koeppen
· A motion was made by Supervisor Barrington and seconded by Supervisor Murphy to approve the minutes from the February 13, 2011 meeting. Motion carried.
· A motion was made by Supervisor Jonely and seconded by Supervisor Flease to approve the agenda as written. Motion carried.
· Items discussed included:
· Gary Thurkelson & Tait meeting regarding radio towers along with weekly status call
· Attendance at Dept Head/Finance, County Board, Communications & Policy meetings
· 2 day ICS/EOC Interface class on Feb 28/29th – approx. 35 people attended
· Transcare Pipeline meeting.
· East Central Regional SCIP Implementation Council in Green Bay
· Meeting with from WPS, in Wausau
· Completion of final 2 Off-site updates for 1st ˝ of FY2012 POW requirements
· Quarterly LEPC meeting
· Attendance at 2-day Governor’s Conference in Appleton
· Approx. 60 people Attended Severe Weather Spotter Training
· Tornado Awareness Drill on April 19th
· Payment for FY2011 Haz-mat Grant ($7626.00)
· Met with Jack Shauger – tower issues
· EC meetings in Fond du Lac
· Haz-mat meeting at Volk Field
· Clintonville incident on March 19, 2012
· Submission of 1st ˝ FFY12 POW requirements
· Received payment for the Weyauwega Full-scale exercise held in Sept 2011 (pd $15,501.56)
· Status of Hazmat billing for HWY 10/49 spill, in the Town of Fremont ($1655.0)
