Monday February 13, 2012

 

·     The Waupaca County Informational Emergency Management Committee meeting was held at 9:00am.

 

      Members Present: Supervisors Robert Flease and Gerald Murphy,

 

      Others Present: Andrew Carlin and Sue Weir

 

      Absent: Chairman Dick Koeppen, Vice Chairman Jim Loughrin, Supervisor Bill Jonely, Gary Barrington

 

·         Items discussed included:

 

·         Meetings with Gary Thurkelson & Tait regarding radio towers along with weekly status call

·         Monthly meetings attended by EM director

·         Upcoming EOC operation & ICS/EOC Interface Training – Scheduled for Feb 28/29th

·         Long-term Care Providers meeting.

·         Status of Verizon renting space on towers

·         Completion of Hazardous Analysis, County-wide Strategic Plan and ESF updates for 1st ½ of FY2012 POW

·         Completion of 5 of 7 Off-site updates for 1st ½ of FY2012 POW requirements

·         Updating equipment/contact information for Fire Depts., DPW/Hwy & Veterinarians within the county.

·         2-day Interoperability meeting in Wausau

·         Severe Weather Spotter Training scheduled for April 4, 2012

·         Status of FY11 & FY12 Haz-mat Computer/Response Equipment Grants

·         Attendance at EC Regional meeting in Fond du Lac

·         Attendance at County-wide EMS meeting in Iola

·         Meeting with HWY SO DOT and business owners regarding Vaughn RD and HWY 10

·         Response to a hazmat call on HWY 10 for an accident with a  diesel fuel spill

·         Status of current grants:
