GOVERNMENTAL BODY:          WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

DATE AND TIME:                          Monday, July 28, 2014 – 8:30am

PLACE:                                             Room 1037, Waupaca County Courthouse

                                                            811 Harding Street, Waupaca, WI

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizens may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement

Supervisor Kietzmann called the meeting to order at 8:33am.

2. Roll call

Present were supervisors Kietzmann, Ellis and Neumann.

Also present were Mike Koles, Penny Tank, Connie Abert, Sandy Liang, Greg Blonde, Christi Beilfuss, John Thiel, Dick Rohan and Tom Schmitz.

3. Review and accept Agenda  

Motion by Ellis to accept agenda; Second: Neumann; Approved unanimously.

4. Review previous meeting minutes  

Motion by Ellis to accept minutes from June meeting; Second: Neumann; Approved unanimously.

5. Educator Reports

· Current Program and Outcomes – all educators

Each educator handed out reports and John Thiel and Connie Abert commented on their robotics projects. 

· Educator Reports

Mike provided a report on his work over the last 11 years. 

· Department Head Report

CRD position update was provided by Tom Schmitz and Mike.   The transition to Connie and Penny has started and will be completed by Thursday.

7. New Business

· The committee will adjourn to closed session pursuant to the exemption in section 19.85(1)(c) Wisconsin Statues for the sole purpose of discussing appointment of Department Head.  The meeting will reconvene from closed.

Motion to adjourn to closed session made by Neumann; Second: Ellis; Roll call: Neumann – aye, Ellis – aye, Kietzmann – aye.  Motion to reconvene from closed session made by Ellis; Second: Neumann; Roll call: Ellis – aye, Neumann – aye, Kietzmann – aye. 

· Department Head Vote

Motion to have Connie Abert be the next Department Head made by Neumann; Second: Ellis; Approved unanimously.
