GOVERNMENTAL BODY:          WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

DATE AND TIME:                          Monday, June 30, 2014 – 8:30am

PLACE:                                             Room 1037, Waupaca County Courthouse

                                                            811 Harding Street, Waupaca, WI

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizens may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement

Supervisor Kietzmann called the meeting to order at 8:34am. 

2. Roll call

Present were: Supervisors Kietzmann, Trinrud, Ellis, Handrich and Neumann.

Also present were: Mike Koles (at 8:34), Christi Beilfuss, Sandy Liang, and Tom Schmitz. Christi Beilfuss and Sandy Liang exited for closed session. Greg Blonde, Penny Tank, Mikayla Wehrle, Christi Beilfuss and Sandy Liang joined following closed sessions.

Absent: Connie Abert (excused)

3. Review and accept Agenda  

Motion by Ellis to accept amended agenda (moved New Business closed session after #4); Second: Neumann; Approved unanimously.

4. Review previous meeting minutes  

Motion by Ellis to accept minutes from previous meetings; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.

5. New Business

· The committee will adjourn to closed session pursuant to the exemption in section 19.85(1)(c) Wisconsin Statues for the sole purpose of discussing appointment of Department Head.  The meeting will reconvene from closed.

Motion to adjourn to closed session made by Handrich; Second: Trinrud; Roll call: Handrich – aye, Trinrud – aye; Neumann – aye; Kietzmann – aye, Ellis - aye.  Motion to reconvene from closed session made by Ellis; Second: Neumann; Roll call: Ellis – aye; Neumann – aye; Trinrud – aye; Kietzmann – aye; Handrich – aye; Approved unanimously. 

6. Educator Reports

· Current Program and Outcomes – all educators

Koles, Tank, Blonde, Liang and Beilfuss provided reports.

· Educator Reports –  Penny

Penny reported on a bullying program.

· Department Head Report

Mike has started to provide information to colleagues regarding Department Head role.

7. Old Business

· WACEC

Dave, Carl and Mike provided reports on the WACEC conference.

· County Board Orientation

Date is going to be Monday, July 28, 2014.

· CNRED Visioning Session

            Visioning session will be on July 16 in Manawa.
