GOVERNMENTAL BODY:          WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement–Peterson

Supervisor Peterson called the meeting to order at 8:01am.

2. Roll call – Peterson

Present were: Supervisors Peterson, Handrich, Kietzmann, Neumann, Loughrin

Also present were: Christi Beilfuss, Greg Blonde, Penny Tank, Mike Koles, Tom Schmitz

Absent for meeting: Connie Abert (Connie was present for her SIPR).

3. Review previous meeting minutes – Peterson

Motion to accept January’s minutes was made by Handrich; Second: Kietzmann; Approved unanimously.

4. Review and accept Agenda – Peterson

Motion: Loughrin; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.

8. New Business

· WACEC Annual Meeting

Annual meeting will be June 23 & 24 in Eau Claire. Darrell Handrich was presented the 5 year award from 4-8-13 WACEC by Tom Schmitz.

· PILD meeting in April for Penny, President-elect for WAE4-HYDP

Motion: Neumann; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.

· Self Initiated Performance Reviews - CLOSED SESSION… Motion to adjourn to closed session pursuant to the exemption in section 19.85(1) Wisconsin Statutes for the sole purpose of discussion of Extension educators’ performance review with UWEX District Director Tom Schmitz.  The meeting will adjourn from closed session.

Motion: Handrich; Second: Kietzmann to adjourn to closed session pursuant to the exemption in section 19.58 (1) Wisconsin Statutes for the sole purpose of discussion of Extension educators performance review with UWEX District Director Tom Schmitz. Roll Call Vote:  Handrich – aye; Loughrin – aye, Peterson – aye, Neumann – aye, Kietzmann – aye.

Motion: Handrich: Second:  Neumann to return to open session.  Roll Call Vote: Handrich – aye; Loughrin – aye, Peterson – aye, Neumann – aye, Kietzmann – aye.

9. Adjourn

Motion to adjourn: Loughrin; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.
