GOVERNMENTAL BODY:          WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

DATE AND TIME:                          Monday, December 16, 2013 – 8:30am

PLACE:                                             Room 1037, Waupaca County Courthouse

                                                            811 Harding Street, Waupaca, WI

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizens may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement – Peterson

Supervisor Peterson called the meeting to order at 8:31am. 

2. Roll call – Peterson

Present were: Supervisors Peterson, Handrich, Kietzmann, Neumann, Loughrin

Also present: Christi Beilfuss, Mike Koles, Connie Abert, Greg Blonde, Sandy Liang,

Penny Tank (arrived at 8:40)

3. Review previous meeting minutes  – Peterson

Motion to accept October’s minutes was made by Handrich; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.

4. Review and accept Agenda  

Motion: Kietzmann; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.

5. Public Input

None

6. Introduction of new Family Living Educator   

Sandy provided a brief summary of herself.

7. Educator Reports

· Current Program and Outcomes – all educators

All educators provided reports.

· Educator Reports – Mike Koles
Mike reported on the economic development work he is conducting in Manawa and specifically focused on the market and trade area analysis research and application.

· Department Head Report - Koles

Mike reported on child abuse; budget status; newsletter

8. Old Business

· Copier Printer Update
Mike reported that the new copier will be delivered tomorrow.

9. New Business

· The 2014 Calendar will be:

o January 27

o May 19 (moved up due to Memorial Day)

o August 18 (moved up due to Fair)

o November 17 (moved up due to Thanksgiving holiday)
