EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement – Peterson
Supervisor Peterson called the meeting to order.
2. Roll call – Peterson
Present were: Supervisors Peterson, Kietzmann, Handrich, Loughrin.
Absent: Supervisor Neumann (excused)
Also present: Greg Blonde, Connie Abert, Penny Tank, Mike Koles and Bob Hoffmann (Hoffman and Loughrin left at 9am for Board of Adjustment meeting).
3. Review previous meeting minutes for August 19 and 29, 2013 – Peterson
Motion: Loughrin; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.
4. Review and accept Agenda
Motion: Handrich; Second: Kietzmann; Approved unanimously.
5. Public Input
None
6. Educator Reports
· Current Program and Outcomes – all educators
All educators handed out monthly reports.
· Educator Reports – Penny
Penny Tank reported on record book process and results. Awards night is November 7. She reported on 4-H enrollment and how it has now gone online.
· Department Head Report - Koles
Mike Koles reported on how the potential government shut-down is planned to be handled for WNEP. He also communicated results of the support staff regional in-service on DISC Indra.
7. Unfinished Business
· WNEP Hiring
Christi starts tomorrow (October 1)
· FLE Hiring
Sandy starts November 15
· Budget Update
Koles provided an update on the County budget.
8. New Business
· UWEX Contract
Motion: Kietzmann; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously. (Loughrin had already left).
· Peer Support Facilitator
Koles reported on this additional role he will be playing with UWEX.
