GOVERNMENTAL BODY:          WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

                                                            811 Harding Street, Waupaca, WI

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement–Peterson

Supervisor Peterson called meeting to order at 9:00am. 

2. Roll call – Peterson

Present were Peterson, Kietzmann, Neumann, Handrich, Loughrin;

Others present: Connie Abert, Mike Koles, Penny Tank, Catherine Neiswender – UWEX North Central Regional Intern, Steve Elgersma, (community partner)

3. Review and accept Agenda – Peterson

Motion: Kietzmann; Second: Loughrin; Approved unanimously.

4. Public Input – Peterson
None

5. County Board Retreat
Koles provided a summary of how the UWEX is aligned with the County Mission and Vision.  This is to be used at the Board Retreat as Koles will be unable to participate due to facilitating the event.

6. New Business

· Wisconsin Nutrition Education Program Final Interviews

· Motion: Loughrin; Second: Kietzmann to adjourn to closed session pursuant to the exemption in section 19.58 (1) Wisconsin Statutes for the sole purpose of discussion of  interviewing and discussing hiring a Wisconsin Nutrition Education Program Educator with UWEX North Central Regional Assistant Catherine Neiswender. Roll Call Vote:  Handrich – aye, Loughrin – aye, Peterson – aye, Neumann – aye, Kietzmann – aye.

Motion: Loughrin; Second: Kietzman to return to open session.  Roll Call Vote: Handrich – aye, Peterson – aye, Neumann – aye, Kietzmann – aye; Loughrin – aye.

7. Adjourn

Motion: Handrich; Second: Neumann; Approved unanimously.
