EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement – Peterson
Supervisor Peterson called meeting to order at 8:32am.
2. Roll call – Peterson
Present were Peterson, Kietzmann, Neumann, Handrich
Others present: Greg Blonde, Caitlin Mork, Connie Abert, Mike Koles, Gail Yest – DHHS and Linda Behm – DHHS.
Absent: James Loughrin and Penny Tank (both excused)
3. Review previous meeting minutes – Peterson
Motion: Handrich; Second: Neumann; Approved unanimously.
4. Review and accept Agenda
Motion: Kietzmann; Second: Handrich; Approved unanimously.

6. Educator Reports
· Current Program and Outcomes
All educators provided reports.
· Educator Reports – Caitlin Mork
Caitlin Mork reported on Community Health Assessment work and many of the implementation strategies that have resulted from health board education.
· Department Head Report - Koles
None
7. Unfinished Business
· Family Living Recruitment
July 31 will be preliminary interviews with 5 candidates. August 29 will be final interviews; Mike will inform them of timeframe as soon as possible.
8. New Business
· Americorp Grant
Connie reported that we received the DATCP Farm to School Grant. One volunteer will work on nutrition and the other with communities. They will start in late summer/early Fall 2013.
· WNEP Recruitment
August 21 will be preliminary interviews and September 9 will be the final interviews.
· Budget
Details next time; Mike anticipates around a 1% increase
