GOVERNMENTAL BODY:          WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

                                                            EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

 

DATE AND TIME:                          Monday, June 18, 2012 – 8:30 a.m.

 

PLACE:                                             Room 1037, Waupaca County Courthouse

                                                            811 Harding Street, Waupaca, WI

 

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizens may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

 

1.            Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement – Peterson

Supervisor Don Peterson called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m.

 

2.            Roll call

Handrich, Loughrin, Peterson, Mares, Kietzmann

 

Others present:  Mike Koles, Alyson Luchini, Marilyn Herman, Greg Blonde, Kaitlyn Jezwinski, Allison Linzmeier; Zoey Brooks came at 8:59.

Penny Tank was excused for camp.

 

3.            Review previous meeting minutes

May meeting minutes were approved.  Motion:  Loughrin; Second:  Handrich; Motion carried unanimously.

 

4.            Review and accept Agenda  

Motion:  Kietzmann; Second:  Mares; Motion carried unanimously.

 

5.            Public Input   

None

 

6.            Educator Reports

·         May Programs and Outcomes

All educators provided reports at this juncture.

 

·         Educator Reports

Marilyn Herman reported on HCE activities for the year and noted upcoming Master Food Preserver training .  Greg Blonde reported on crop production research and discovery.

 

7.            Unfinished Business

·         Fair Costs
Koles reported that IS would currently be willing to support a computer and printer purchase if either needed replacement.  Currently computer replacement would be $1,025 and printer replacement would be $555.  Motion: Mares; Second: Kietzmann to add to the previous proposal determined in May that the Fair would cover all of the printer replacement and the appropriate portion of computer replacement based on the percentage of use.  Motion passed 4-0 with Peterson abstaining.  The committee instructed Koles to coordinate and schedule a meeting with the Fair Board.

 

·         County Board Tour
Koles reported on the County Board Tour.

 

·         WACEC

Tax exempt slips for WACEC rooming were handed out.

 

             

8.            Correspondence

·         WNEP County Agreement Letter – Alyson

Motion:  Mares; Second:  Handrich; unanimous approval.
