GOVERNMENTAL BODY:  WAUPACA COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND

EXTENSION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

DATE AND TIME:                            Monday, February 27, 2012 – 8:00 a.m.

PLACE:                                              Room 1037, Waupaca County Courthouse

                                                            811 Harding Street, Waupaca, WI

OPEN SESSION:  This meeting and all other meetings are open to the public.  Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes so that the citizens may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting.

1. Call meeting to order and Open Meeting Statement
Murphy called the meeting to order

2. Roll call
Handrich, Loughrin, Peterson, Murphy
Others present: Tom Schmitz, Mike Koles, Alyson Luchini, Marilyn Herman, Penny Tank, Connie Abert, Greg Blonde

3. Review previous meeting minutes
January meeting minutes were approved.  Motion:  Handrich, Second:  Peterson; Motion carried unanimously.

4. Review and accept Agenda – Motion: Peterson; Second: Handrich; Motion carried unanimously.

5. New Business

· Connie Abert out of state travel was approved by Murphy before committee meeting due to timing of travel.  Mary Robbins indicated this was ok.

· Motion – Loughrin; Second – Peterson to adjourn to closed session pursuant to the exemption in section 19.58 (1) Wisconsin Statutes for the sole purpose of discussion of Extension educators performance review with UWEX District Director Tom Schmitz. Roll Call Vote:  Handrich – aye; Loughrin – aye, Peterson – aye, Murphy – aye.

· Motion – Peterson; Second – Handrich to return to open session.  Roll Call Vote: Peterson – aye; Handrich – aye; Murphy – aye.  Loughrin was excused part way through the closed session.

· Motion – Handrich; Second – Peterson to accept successful performance evaluations.  Carried unanimously.
